Luke the Midget

So, I was watching Return of the Jedi last night. Pretty good movie, but I'd seen it before.
Little known fact: Luke Skywalker (originally Luke Starkiller) was originally supposed to be a little person. WOW. Thank God George Lucas changed that character. Not that there is anything wrong with little people.

What's going on in music?

Well, R. Kelly has got this 5 part "Trapped In the Closet" song out. It is complete shit! He's so dirty.

The Ying Yang Twins have some career advice for Michael Jackson in a recent issue of Billboard:
"This is his best time to make an album right now, and it needs to be called 'KMA - Kiss My Ass.' I'm telling you, this is Michael Jackson's best time. Really, he needs to make a song like, 'I didn't touch those little boys/I might buy them a lot of toys/but I don't mess with little boys.' We'd reinvent Mike if we did a song with him. If Ying-Yang do a song with Mike, it's going to be a strip-club song. We'd have Mike over messing with the strippers. Mike has not had his toes curled. He needs a real black woman, that's what Mike needs."
- D-ROC of Ying-Yang Twins, whose X-rated "Wait (The Whisper Song)" is No. 21 on the Billboard Hot 100 this issue

Also, there is a movie about Townes Van Zandt:
Fans will savor this chronicle of the lanky troubadour, whose honeyed Texan baritone etched landscapes of ache and longing. For those unacquainted with a true songwriter's songwriter -- as the likes of Steve Earle, Joe Ely and Emmylou Harris attest -- Margaret Brown's artful film is a compelling introduction. After traveling the fest circuit, including a recent stop at the Los Angeles Film Festival last month, the documentary is set for fall release via Palm Pictures.
